Welcome

Welcome to Hollycroft Primary School's website. We hope you find all of the information you are looking for and that the website will give you an insight into the life at our wonderful school. Hollycroft opened in September 2023. . We are currently accepting pupils from EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2.  From September 2025, subject to numbers for the academic year, classes will be made available to include pupils from Key stage 2.  The school will grow year on year as we welcome new children across the school. It will eventually have one class in each year group (one form entry) EYFS to Year 6 and is built to cater for 210 pupils.

It is a very exciting time for all of us as we establish Hollycroft in the local community and we welcome your support for our school.

This strong partnership between parents and the school is so important in enabling children to achieve success and so I ask for your full support of school policies and for your continued proactive involvement in your child’s education, please continue to support all of our new parents to download the free app to allow our continued communication, https://www.hollycroft.leics.sch.uk/about-us/mobile-app-installation

Our school has achieved a Food for Life Bronze Award, which means that the food we served has been rigorously assessed to ensure it’s high quality, healthy and sustainable.

As a Food for Life Bronze school we:

  • Have committed to improve their school food culture by developing a school food policy.
  • Meet Bronze Food for Life Served Here Award standards which shows that school food is healthy and uses seasonal ingredients that are at least 75% freshly prepared.
  • Involve pupils and parents in planning improvements to school menus and the lunchtime experience, boosting school meal take-up.
  • Give every pupil the opportunity to visit a local farm, and take part in cooking and food growing activity.”

    Harvest Donations

    Good Morning,

We would like to say a huge thank you to all our families for your incredible generosity and kindness during our Harvest collection. We were absolutely amazed by the number of donations we received — far more than we ever expected!

All of the items have now been taken to our local church, where they will be shared with members of the community who need them most. Your thoughtful contributions have truly made a difference and helped us spread kindness and care this Harvest season.

We are so grateful for your support — and as we’ve now delivered all the donations, we no longer need any more items at this time.

Thank you once again for your amazing response, compassion and continued support of our school and local community.

    Dear Parents/Carers

Please see below and attached about a coat exchange being ran by Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council.

Welcome to the Coat Exchange scheme
In response to the ongoing cost of living crisis and the environmental impact of the textile industry, the Coat Exchange scheme offers a sustainable way to support residents who may otherwise go without a warm coat this winter.
By promoting a circular economy, we aim to extend the life of garments, reduce waste, and keep quality clothing in circulation and out of landfill.
The scheme will be operating from community venues across the borough throughout October and November.
    How to donate
Residents are kindly asked to donate unwanted or outgrown warm winter coats that are in good, clean condition at any of the community venues taking part.
    How to get a coat
Everyone is welcome to visit any of the community coat exchange venues and select from the coats on offer free of charge. There is no need to donate to take, but you can do both if you wish.
Coats will be moved around the borough so they will be made available in a different location to where they were originally donated.

View the list of community venues and their opening times: What is the coat exchange scheme? | Welcome to the coat exchange scheme | Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council
Please note: If we reach our maximum capacity in terms of numbers of coats we may have to refuse donations.
If you are struggling with the cost of living, please visit our cost of living support web page or complete our cost of living contact form and a member of our team will be in contact.
For further information about the coat exchange email warm.welcome@hinckley-bosworth.gov.uk
